In the Old Testament the cross was promised and pictured
(Acts 8:34-35).

In Acts the cross was proclaimed (Acts 2:23).
In the Epistles the cross was proved (Ephesians 1:7).
In Revelation the cross was praised (Revelation 5:6; 13:8).
In the Gospels the cross is provided (John 1:29).
